Welcome to Dallastown Medical Associates!

Flu Shots are Now Available (09/09/21): Just like getting a COVID-19 vaccine, getting a flu shot is an easy way to help you and your family stay healthy. The flu vaccination has many important benefits. Flu vaccines have been shown to reduce the risk of flu illness, hospitalization and death.  Last year, there was lower circulation of flu than usual but it is likely that both COVID-19 and flu will circulate this fall and winter. Though the flu vaccine does not prevent COVID-19, getting a flu vaccine this fall will be more important than ever, not only to reduce your risk from flu but also to help conserve potentially scarce health care resources. It is recommended that all people 6 months and older get a yearly flu vaccine. Also, if you haven't gotten vaccinated against COVID-19 yet, you can now receive COVID-19 and flu shots at the same time! Those interested in receiving a flu and/or COVID-19 vaccine should call our office at (717)244-4531.

COVID Vaccine Updates:

(08/26/21): The White House released a statement last week saying that they are prepared to offer booster shots for all Americans beginning the week of September 20 but the 3rd dose must be 8 months after an individual’s second dose. This has not been authorized by the FDA and the ACIP. Once the authorization is given, we will begin scheduling patients to receive their 3rd dose. Patients will be permitted to schedule an appointment to receive their 3rd dose up to one month before they are due, to ensure they get the dose in a timely manner.

(08/13/21) The FDA and the CDC's ACIP recommend that people whose immune systems are moderately to severely compromised (3% of US adults), should receive an "additional dose" of the mRNA COVID-19 vaccine after their initial 2 doses. We are offering this to both patients and non-patients who received the Moderna vaccine, as this is the only vaccine we offer in our office. Please contact our office to schedule or get more information.

In Office Sick Visits: (07/12/21): Our office is now offering our patients to be seen in the office for acute/sick visits. We will continue to offer video visits for routine and acute appointments if preferred by the patient. Online scheduling for routine and acute appointment types are still available.
